The Siphon Pump: How It Works

1. Place the PVC hose into the source liquid container.
2. Pump past the source liquid level to create a vacuum.
3. Press the hand pump three to five times.
4. The liquid is then transported by air pressure and gravity.

If the siphon pump is not working normally, here are some self-check points to consider:

1. The source container must be placed higher than the target container when using the "Gravity Required" method.
2. Ensure both the source and destination containers are not in a sealed state.
3. Check that the indicator arrow on the pump bulb points towards the exit flow direction, down to the target container.
4. Confirm the hoses are not knotted or twisted together.
5. Exhaust any gas from the hoses before using.
6. Keep the ends of the two hoses inside the containers during use, not just on the surface.

In the event of a kinked hose, try soaking the affected area in a small amount of hot water for 1-3 minutes. This should cause the kinks to disappear, restoring the hose's functionality.
